Welcome to Dream, Draw Create!
This blog features art projects for children. These projects have been used in my classes. My lessons allow children to learn about all the elements and principles of art while striving to introduce them to many genres of art.

Tissue paper collage animals. Grade 2/3

  1. These look really cool! My Grade 2s would love to do these animals. We are starting our Growth and Change in Animals science unit soon and I would love to grasp their interest by doing this art project. Would it be possible for you to send me the steps for this project? Thank you. Erin

  2. These tissue paper animals were a real progression so to speak of ideas. At first the students selected shapes from an assortment of tissue paper shapes to create their animal on 12 x 18 white drawing paper. They looked pretty incomplete compositionally when they were finished. The following week when the students came in we talked about creating a habitat for their animal. The students then chose a piece of 12 x 18 colored construction paper. The animals were cut out from the white drawing paper and glued down to the colored construction paper. Oil pastels were used to draw trees, flowers, clouds and other details.

Please leave me a comment. I would love to hear from you.
