This lesson was so much fun for Grades 2 and 3. I got the idea from Patty at Deep Space Sparkle. She had posed the question to other art teachers asking for ideas for 3D lesson plans. A seasoned art teacher, Phyl at There's a Dragon in my Art room had shared the idea of making Teddy Bear chairs from cardboard. It sounded like a real winner so I came up with these with my students. We have them on display and everyone is enjoying them so much. They are made from 7 inch cardboard seats and backs with paper towel and toilet paper rolls for the legs. A hot glue gun held them together nicely. Lots of work but well worth the smiles they brought to the kids faces!
Your bears are awesome!
