Welcome to Dream, Draw Create!
This blog features art projects for children. These projects have been used in my classes. My lessons allow children to learn about all the elements and principles of art while striving to introduce them to many genres of art.

You're Never Fully Dressed Without A Smile

For our very first art class of the school year we decided the best way to get to know some of our new friends was to draw a picture of ourselves with a big welcoming smile on our faces! Before we got started we warmed up by drawing round shapes of various sizes in the air, on the floor and on the palm of our hands. We then had a brief discussion about our facial features and the placement of them on our faces. Feeling confident about shapes and lines we began drawing our portraits. These Primary children did a great job of making me smile. We're off to a great year!
