What fun this project was for my Sixth graders which is mostly girls. Designing shoes, skirts and tights was right up their alley! We discussed shape for the shoes and pattern for the tights and then each student let their imagination run free. I did this lesson last year and couldn't wait to try it again this year. It always amazes me how differently each group interprets the same lesson. I love the creativity and energy the kids always bring to the art room. I have the best job! Enjoy.
Love the ruffles on the bottom of the skirts! Really makes the pop! I really enjoyed meeting you and observing your classroom yesterday! Thank you so much for having me, Jessica, art education student at ESC
ReplyDeleteA fantastic lesson...I did this with the 10-11 year olds in my class two weeks ago. They loved working on their pictures and incorporated lots of fabric and fibre into their designs too. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
