Painted Poinsettias by Second and Third grades
I have seen many blogs with paintings of Poinsettias. Each one was different with one common thread. They were all beautiful, bold and a welcome symbol of the holiday season. My students observed photo samples of poinsettias then drew with white chalk on manila paper. Using small sponges the children stamped the red paint onto the petals of their flower. Paintbrushes were used for the remainder of the flowers stems and centers. Backgrounds were also painted. Each one is different and unique and a joy to look at.
