Welcome to Dream, Draw Create!
This blog features art projects for children. These projects have been used in my classes. My lessons allow children to learn about all the elements and principles of art while striving to introduce them to many genres of art.

Shadows on a cold Winter's Night by Grade 7

Bare trees, snowmen, and mountains of snow were all part of these Winter landscapes.  The students created these compositions using white chalk on blue construction paper.  Details were added using oil pastel.  The moon was positioned in the sky allowing the students to draw shadows on the ground using black crayon.  Some of the students chose to paint snowflakes falling from the sky, all of the students frosted the branches of the trees with freshly fallen snow.
