Welcome to Dream, Draw Create!
This blog features art projects for children. These projects have been used in my classes. My lessons allow children to learn about all the elements and principles of art while striving to introduce them to many genres of art.

Dutch Windmills Grade 4

Continuing on our Dutch theme Grade 4 quickly did this printmaking project in preparation for Grandparents and special persons day.  I woke up at 4 am one morning last week with this idea.  Clearly I had gone to sleep with "art projects" on my mind!  For what they are I was pleased.  It offered the students to briefly be introduced to the printmaking process. Students love to print.  It gave them a glimpse into another culture relevant to our studies.  Lastly we touched on some basic art concepts and elements.  Next time I do this lesson I will elaborate on texture and detail.  But for a quick 40 minute art class I was pleased and so were our special guests!
