This will be the last post pertaining to Van Gogh's Sunflower painting. It has been a worthwhile study for my students. This group of paintings was done by children in grades 5 and 6. We began by experimenting with color, we mixed complimentary colors to create these beautiful muted tones. During weeks two and three the students began cutting up their painted papers to compose their vases of sunflowers. Students used chalk to soften the background paper and many also added detail with Sharpie's.
I hope you will enjoy the uniqueness of the selection I have chosen to share.
Love the use of painted paper to collage, and that they are all so individual :) Thanks!
