Welcome to Dream, Draw Create!
This blog features art projects for children. These projects have been used in my classes. My lessons allow children to learn about all the elements and principles of art while striving to introduce them to many genres of art.

Something fishy in first grade

In this lesson first grade packed in many different concepts.  Shapes were discussed and how circles triangles and such could be used to create the fish. Crayon rubbings were done with texture plates after the fish was drawn.  Details such as eyes and scales on the fish were added using black crayon.
Bubbles were stamped on the background using shades of blue and white paint.
The fish were then cut out and glued onto the background.
The students completed this sweet little lesson in one forty minute art class.
